I'm connecting to my router via LAN (192.168.1.1).

For me the configuration is getting more and more complicated. I sent a message "IPsec drop policies" to info at strongswan.org and asked for a price for a solution with kill-switch.  But so far I have not received an answer.

Maybe you can answer.
