The wiki article for iOS and Mac OSX interoperability[1] mentions the problems with iOS 9 and 10.
You could've read it before asking for help here. Saves everyone some time. I'm working on better documentation
on the wiki. I added the information about the problems with iOS in september/october, so that was definitively
findable.
