[strongSwan] DSCP marking on packets

Dear All,
  I have a query regarding android strongswan code data handling of DSCP
marking on plain text packets.

I see some code in android_service.c
charon->sender->send_no_marker(charon->sender, (packet_t*)packet);

Function name 'send_no_marker'. Does it mean charon sender in libcharon
library ignores the DSCP marking on the plain text pakcets and sends out
ESP packets without DSCP mark ?

Also, There are functions inside esp_packet_create_internal() in
esp_packet.c  i.e set_dscp and get_dscp functions.. When are these
functions getting used ?

Kindly help clarify these querires. Thank you in advance!!
