[strongSwan] question regarding the binaries generated by strongswan compilation

Hi
I downloaded strongswan-5.0.1 and trying to cross compile the same.
I used the following command to configure
./configure
make
Post running make, i see that the charon and other binaries created are
basically scripts.
file charon
charon: POSIX shell script, ASCII text executable, with very long lines
Could you please help me to get it in right executable form without running
make install ?
as mentioned in strongswan wiki forums.
