[strongSwan] Should you be able to ping the roadwarrior ip ?

Technical question: I have successfully setup the roadwarrior scenario with
ikev2-certs.
Should you be able to ping/ssh *to* the roadwarrior ip address?

>From the roadwarrior, I am able to access all resources on rightsubnet.

I cannot ping/ssj from the rightsubnet *to* the roadwarrior ip address: is
this expected based on the SAD/SPD? I do not see any DROP/REJECT in
iptables.
