[strongSwan] Can't assign DHCP address with DHCPd

Is "lan" really the network device name? Is strongSwan running on Linux?
Is the DHCP server on the local or on a dedicated host in your LAN?

Also you might try to explicitly set a DHCP server address and/or omit
the interface identifier. For some DHCP servers running locally, it
helps to set force_server_address to yes, refer to [1] for details.
