Well, the only couple of things YOU have to do is:
Decide on what hosts with what IPs are involved
Decide on the authentication method (PSK should be fine in this case)
Decide on what algorithms you want to use (defaults should be finde)
Decide on what secrets you want to use specifically ("Should I use a PSK 'foo'or a PSK 'bar', or should I use certificates?")

To interact with strongSwan during runtime, use the "ipsec" tool.

And read the man pages, of course.
