[strongSwan] Question on logger

[Chinmaya Dwibedy]

Hi,
The log_ function is called for each log generated by Charon.  Will this function be called if I disable
logging? Please clarify. Here is the logger configuration. 
 filelog {
                /var/log/charon.log {
                        time_format = %b %e %T
                        append = no
                        default = -1
                        flush_line = yes
                        }
  stderr {

                         #       ike = 3
                        #       knl = 3
                                ike_name = yes
                                }
                        }
