[strongSwan] Charon locks up

Hello,

I have a problem with Charon seemingly locking up after initialization.
It neither interacts with the ipsec tool, nor responds to any peers
trying to connect.
I have to kill it to make it stop and the ipsec tooly only spawns one
more instance of charon.
Version is a self compiled 5.0.1 on kernel version 2.6.32-46 32-bit.
Distribution is Debian Squeeze 6.0.6
