I have a question regarding building StrongSwan 4.5.2 with OpenSSL 0.9.7m (from 2/23/2007). We are having problems with the compilation for this combination. It appears to be a mismatch between the two packages with errors like this:
openssl_crypter.c:146: error: expected declaration specifiers or '...' before '(' token
openssl_crypter.c:146: error: expected declaration specifiers or '...' before '&' token
openssl_crypter.c:146: error: conflicting types for 'DES_set_key'
sysroot/usr/include/openssl/des.h:222: error: previous declaration of 'DES_set_key' was here

Could someone confirm that OpenSSL 0.9.7m is too old to be built with StrongSwan 4.5.2, and if possible, indicate the oldest version of OpenSSL release that can build with StrongSwan 4.5.2?

Thanks.
