[strongSwan] Can the gateway ping into other subnet?

Yes, but only because of the automatically inserted routes
http://www.strongswan.org/uml/testresults/ikev2/net2net-cert/moon.ip.route
for moon and
http://www.strongswan.org/uml/testresults/ikev2/net2net-cert/sun.ip.route
respectivley, causing traffic originating from the gateway to take
on the the IP address of the inner network interface.
