[strongSwan] Help with CentOS and ECP DH groups

I am trying to use ECP DH groups on a CentOS installation, and it
appears that the stock OpenSSL installation does not support ECC. I
have compiled an alternative OpenSSL on my server with support for
ECC, but I cannot figure out how to build strongSwan using the
alternative OpenSSL.

Has anyone gotten ECP running on RedHat or CentOS 6.x? If so, could
you please help me understand what I'm doing wrong?
