[strongSwan] charon vs pluto

Hi,

I am new to strongswan and trying to setup a strongswan roadwarrior to
talk to company's VPN server (astaro security gateway 7.5).

Based on strongswan doc:
charon  	The IKEv2 keying daemon.
pluto 	The IKEv1 keying daemon.

Since astaro doesn't support ikev2, I assume I will have to use pluto
(ikev1 daemon) with strongswan? Shall I just comment out the charon
section and uncomment the pluto section in strongswan.conf? In the
ipsec.conf, I guess I should set charonstart=no and plutostart=yes?
