[strongSwan-dev] Feature request: alerting userspace on DPD

Hey folks,

I just checked in to IRC and asked whether it is presently possible to
notify system processes about DPD results. They said that I'd need to
patch the code. Could someone point me to the part of the codebase
where I should add such functionality and later review a patch?

See IRC logs below.

15:28 < cj> is there a way to run a userspace process when DPD fires?
15:28 < cj> or to send a signal to a running process maybe
        15:29 < cj> leave a note in a file somewhere?
        15:29 < cj> write to a socket?
15:29 < Thermi> You have to edit the source code for that
15:29 < cj> that's annoying, but I can add a patch to gentoo or some such
        15:29 < Thermi> Well, happens.
15:30 < cj> what I'm looking for is something in a future release
