With VTIs, you shouldn't need to manually mark the packets.<br>
<br>
Btw, if you use an XFRM interface instead, you won't have as many problems because the field used for<br>
typing the interface and the policies together isn't used for anything else (In comparison to the fwmark field,<br>
which as you can see can be used for all sorts of things).<br>

That doesn't look like a mark field to me. It'd need to be 32 bit in length and have the same value as the (fw)mark field in iptables.<br>
