For future reference, I managed to get the <span style=" font-size: 16px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); display: inline !important">

"eap_identity" </span>connection matching to work using the solution provided by the answer in <a href="https://serverfault.com/questions/908098/strongswan-clients-access-rights/908194#908194" id="LPlnk509704">https://serverfault.com/questions/908098/strongswan-clients-access-rights/908194#908194</a></div>
