Hi Tobias,
Sorry, I forgot to cc the users@lists.strongswan.org in my last mail.
Also, now since I have moved to strongSwan 4.6.1, I really want to know how I can use the ipsec.conf without relying on the front-end. I could not find ipsec.conf in the build code. Please guide.

Thanks and Regards,
Nitin

On Wed, Nov 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM, Nitin Verma <nitin.jndm@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Tobias,
I downloaded the latest 4.6.1 tarball and extracted it in the external directory. I added the "LOCAL_MODULE_TAGS := optional" in the Android.mk files in the respective modules. I build the code but could not get the "charon" service started.
Later, I ran ./configure, make and make distclean in the strongswan directory. Added the modules in the PRODUCT_PACKAGES section of /Path_to_Android_code/build/target/product/core.mk and recompiled. This time I found the charon in place and ultimately, I have been able to establish the IKEv2 tunnel between a linux server and Nexus-S running 2.3.

Is there any specific problem you are facing? A bit more details would
help, as I've not yet have time to try any newer Android releases.
